How to swap (exchange) tokens on STON.fi

Learn how to swap tokens on STON.fi DEX. Follow simple steps to exchange one token for another, covering everything from selecting assets to confirming the transaction and fees.

Here come your first cryptooperations on STON.fi DEX! Let's learn how to swap – in other words, how to exchange one token for another.

Step 1: Open the STON.fi app and navigate to the 'Swap' tab.

Step 2: In the 'You Send' box, choose 'All assets' and select the token you want to swap. As an example, let's sell TON (we covered how to buy it in the previous chapter) – so, we'll pick that.

Step 3: In the 'You Receive' box, choose 'All assets' and specify the token you want to receive. For instance, STON – the token proudly issued by the STON.fi DEX itself!

Step 4: Input the quantity of tokens you're selling (or buying), and let the algorithm do all the calculations. Remember, you still need to have TON in your wallet to cover transaction fees. Blockchain commission can be found in the swap details section. Please, be sure you have at least 0.4 TON in your wallet, that will be reserved by blockchain to confirm the transaction. The difference between actual transaction cost (usually 0.05-0.08 TON) and the reserved TON will be returned to the owner.

Step 5: Press Swap, double-check the details, and confirm the transaction by pressing the ‘Confirm Swap’ button.

Step 6: Confirm the swap in the popup notification on your wallet.

In a matter of seconds, the tokens you acquired will appear in your wallet, visible on the main assets page.
